Please find ‘new’ BSA Ariel 3 – RSX 371M – originally YRF 71M, first registered in Sept 1971 and then it would appear it fell into disuse, like so many others, before being reborn and re-registered in April 2018, after a guy from Bristol used mainly new parts to renew her – including NOS engine. She was then sold to a chap in the military based at Catterick and used for about 70 miles before he sold up as part of a move abroad.

I bought her a few weeks ago and had my first ride today – I did a pre-ride safety check when I first got her and found the rear wheel had an oversized bolt used on one of the studs. When I removed it this caused a fracture to the.hub and required the sourcing of a replacement – annoying, but glad I found it whilst stationary rather than at full chat!!

She now runs well and is great fun to ride, although I live in a particularly hilly part of Wiltshire, so she’s good exercise too!
